The Joseph B. Fay Co. has submitted the apparent low bid of $67,436,033 for the construction of five bridges for a four-lane Route 219 between Meyersdale and Somerset.

The Pittsburgh-area company was the low bidder for the earth-moving portion of the project, having submitted a bid of $110 million. That work is underway and is expected to be completed by late 2016, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
